Program Description
The University of East Anglia (UEA) has been rated as one of the best universities for student experience in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2015. They are currently 6th out of all UK universities, and have placed in the top six since the survey began. They are an internationally renowned university based in a campus that provides top quality academic, social and cultural facilities to over 15,000 students.
Located in 320 acres of rolling parkland just two miles from the centre of the cathedral city of Norwich, the University is part of the Norwich Research Park which is home to nearly 3,000 scientists working in several world ranked institutions.
UEA is ranked in the top one per cent of universities in the world and is consistently in the top ten for student satisfaction. They are a leading member of the Norwich Research Park, one of Europe's biggest concentrations of researchers in the fields of environment, health and plant science.
Sporting facilities on campus include the University Sportspark which houses an Olympic-sized swimming pool and regularly hosts international sporting events. UEA also has the world famous Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and hosts an International Literary Festival which has included famous names such as Ian McEwan, Kazuo Ishiguro and Anne Enright (all alumni of UEA's Creative Writing course).

Coursework
You may take courses (modules) from a variety of disciplines (faculties). Look
here for a list of modules. Approval for credit of courses is done by speaking with your advisor. Department Chairs approve how course credit may fulfill major or minor requirements.
Housing & Meals
Accommodation in all University residences is self-catering (i.e. - no meal plan). Each residence contains several fully-furnished, centrally-heated, single-occupancy rooms grouped with a shared kitchen/living space. Kitchens come equipped with a fridge, freezer and oven or microwave and residents provide their own cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Students also provide their own linens, or alternatively, bedding packs can be purchased from the Accommodation Office.
Room types
Standard Rooms - Norfolk Terrace, Suffolk Terrace, Mary Chapman Court (Norwich City Centre). These rooms share a kitchen and bathroom facilities.
En-suite Village Rooms - University Village. The University Village is made up of 14 buildings with individual flats and is located directly opposite the entrance to the University. Flats usually contain 6-8 rooms, and it takes approximately 8 minutes to walk to the main square on campus.
En-suite Campus Rooms - Nelson Court, Constable Terrace, Colman House, Britten House, Browne House, Kett House, Paston House and Victory House. Rooms have private showers, toilets and washbasins, but the kitchen is shared.

Private accommodation. The Union of UEA Students co-ordinates the Home Run service which helps students to find private accommodation in Norwich. Students planning to find private accommodation should contact homerun@uea.ac.uk as early as possible to request a user name and password after admission.

Finances
You will pay your tuition and fees to UNC Asheville and accommodations and meals (if included) to the University of East Anglia.
Scholarships
The UNC Asheville Study Abroad Office awards need-based scholarships on a competitive basis to participants on UNCA exchange programs. Scholarship awards range from $500 to $1,500 and are scaled in proportion to program budget and demonstrated financial need.
